When designing promotional materials, one ought to ask oneself: what should the recipient focus their attention on? What information do we want to convey as a priority? What should be remembered? Elements of, for example, a poster should be arranged in the correct hierarchy through the use of size, shape, colour or free space around the elements.

Ensure that all materials are consistent with each other. Colours, typography and the arrangement of elements should harmonise with each other. Leaflets, posters or calendars should, above all, look aesthetic and professional. A good practice is to use a limited number of colours and one or two font styles.
